The cherry blossoms are almost in bloom!

I can't believe a year has passed since I entered the University of Tsukuba!
Just around this time last year, I recieved my acceptance letter, rented an apartment, and started living at Tsukuba.
Unlike breaks in the U.S, some of the students have to take classes during the summer, deending on your focus.
Right now, it is oficially spring break and many of my classmates including myself are still at Tsukuba to preoare for this coming year.

Starting Friday, I came am back at my parent's place mainly to babysit my brother while my parents are going around the Shikoku area.
During my stay in Kawasaki, my friend and I decided to go to Atami, a village about two hours from our house.
I was thinking the place would be packed with people, but there were few tourists duirng this time of year..I wonder why?
It was practically a spur of the moment trip, so we went to a local tourist shop to plan out where we wanted to spend the day.
After a little pondering, we decided to visit a flower garden.
The garden was really pretty this time of year with tulips and ume flowers.

Hope everyone is doing well!
